Katie is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007. She attended the Mitchell Hamline University School of Law, where she was exposed to the world of family law mediation, completing more than 70 hours of study in a program involving civil and family mediation.
Katie received her Juris Doctor degree in 2011 and was admitted to the Minnesota Bar to practice law shortly after. Since then, Katie has played an instrumental role in family law mediations, using her training and experience to guide families through challenging family law issues.
Ms. Jarvi has completed the 30-hour Civil Mediation training through coursework at Hamline University, and the 40-hour Family Mediation Training through the Hamline University Mediation Center, which included training on mediation structure, strategies for effective communication and resolution, the psychological dynamics of divorce, family law, domestic abuse issues, and ethical concerns. Ms. Jarvi is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral.
